't ElixIr Faculty Bar

Faculty Bar 't ElixIr is the faculty bar of the engineering students. The place to be when you want to forget the stress of your studies for a bit and fully enjoy a drink with some music. During the academic year, our cozy cellar opens its doors from Sunday to Thursday from 10pm for anyone in the mood for a fun party! From time to time, bigger events are also organized, such as a Black Light party or a Foam Party.

Guest Bartending

Feeling like keeping the Fakbar open together with a head bartender, (learning to) pour good beers and just having a great time? During the evening you drink for free and you even earn 6 vouchers (worth €1.20) for an evening full of fun!

Lost Property

On a busy (drunken) night, things can always go missing or get forgotten. However, when closing up, the Fak team always leaves any remaining coats hanging on the coat racks. This means that if you've lost something or can't find your belongings, it's best to just come by the Fak again the next day to check if your things are still hanging there. You can also always check our Facebook page, where we post photos of lost items.

DJ

Think you've got what it takes to throw a party? Can you expertly mix one track into another? Or maybe you specialize in more relaxed music instead? Fakbar 't ElixIr is always looking for new DJ talent to bring the sickest beats to our Fakbar, or for people who want to introduce us to a new style.

Sponsoring a Keg

Not only do you get a free half-liter of Stella on your birthday (upon showing your ID), we also offer you the chance to treat all your friends at a bargain price! We'd prefer to be notified in advance (issues can arise on rental days, for example).

The prices are as follows:

  • Full keg (180 vouchers): €200
  • Half keg (90 vouchers): €100

These vouchers can only be used in our Fakbar, are valid for one evening only, and are only valid for Stella beer or soft drinks.

Not having a birthday, but you and your friends are still really thirsty? Then of course you can always come up with another reason to sponsor a keg!

Rental

Fakbar 't ElixIr can be rented out for parties by other faculty circles, student associations, and VTK departments and working groups. VTK departments and working groups can also rent it for a cantus (traditional student drinking event).

Loyalty Card

Use your student card as a loyalty card at our Fakbar!

Scan your student card every time you visit Fakbar 't ElixIr. For every 10 visits to the Fakbar, the light show will spin especially for you. As a reward, you get a free beer!

Terms and conditions:

  • Art 1: By using the student card scanner, the customer agrees to these promotional terms and conditions.

  • Art 2: Only students enrolled at an educational institution that is part of the Association KU Leuven can participate in the promotion.

  • Art 3: For every 10 visits to the Fakbar, a customer receives 1 free beer (25cl Stella) or 1 free soft drink.

  • Art 4: Within this promotion, a visit to the Fakbar means: scanning the student card scanner in the Fakbar during opening hours. Per opening night, a student can only validly scan their student card once.

  • Art 5: The promotion is valid from 9/15/2017. Fakbar 't ElixIr reserves the right to modify or discontinue the promotion.

  • Art 6: Each time a student card is scanned, the student number and time are stored. This data may be used for statistics, contests, and other applications. Data will not be shared with third parties, but may be publicly published as, for example, results of a contest. If a customer has a VTK account, this data may also be linked to that person's other data. A customer can have their data deleted by contacting us.

  • Art 7: Between the end of the second semester of the current academic year and the start of the next academic year, the data in the system is reset. Data from previous years may be retained for up to three years for analytical and statistical purposes.
